About Georgina

Georgina is a Sydney based Junior and Middle Grade fiction book reviewer and writer. She also spends some times of the year judging writing competitions whilst trying to keep an eye out for any Japanese woodblock prints that take her fancy.

After spending time as a caterer in Australia and Britain, she swapped the life of kitchen slave creative for one in the arts.

A university kindly awarded her a degree in Fine Arts followed by a Masters in Arts Administration.

She is a member of Writing NSW, SCWBWI and the Australian Society of Authors.

As fate would have it, this, and the need to be surrounded by lovely art led her to become one of those amiable volunteer people at the Art Gallery of NSW.

While fielding questions from the curious public as to where the toilets were, an idea for a children’s book slowly formed amongst the Modern Australian Art section (Ground Level, turn left before the ticketing and information desk, madam)

Georgina divides her time, (she can’t tell you the exact fractions as she’s hopeless at maths), between writing for children, reviewing children’s books for the podcasters from One More Page and judging writing competitions.

She also lives with an extremely active mini sausage dog who everyone hopes will grow out of chewing the sofa cushions.
